Information collected
We collect account details, confirmed email addresses, country, WhatsApp mobile number, education or tutor-profile information, requests, proposals, messages, ratings and feedback, wallet activity, payment references, support tickets, device information, and security logs required to operate and protect the marketplace.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, confirm accounts, display marketplace profiles and requests, enforce role permissions, process proposals and payments, deliver transactional email and in-site notifications, calculate tutor ratings, investigate abuse, and provide support.
Public and private information
Published tutor profiles and open requests contain marketplace information visible to visitors. Email addresses, password hashes, wallet history, private messages, and administrator records are not public. A student's WhatsApp number is not shown publicly or to browsing tutors; it is disclosed only to a tutor after that tutor successfully pays the proposal coin charge for the student's exact request. Private conversations remain limited to the student, the proposing tutor, and that request.
Human verification
Cloudflare Turnstile is used during registration to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated activity. It may process limited device, network, and security information required to perform the verification.
Payments
Payment providers process financial credentials. StudyHelp247 records provider order identifiers, amounts, currency, status, and related wallet credits but should not store full card details.
Security and retention
Passwords are hashed, email confirmation tokens are stored as hashes, forms use anti-forgery and human-verification controls, database queries are prepared, and access is checked by user role and ownership. A new student or tutor registration that is not email-confirmed within 24 hours is automatically deleted together with its incomplete profile and related registration records. Other records are retained only as necessary for platform operations, security, accounting, disputes, and legal obligations.
Your choices
Users may request correction or deletion of eligible personal data by contacting support. Some records may need to be retained for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or transaction history.
